常州外国语附属双语学校坐落在常州国家高新区，紧邻沪宁高速，京沪高铁和常州地铁一号线。

Changwai Bilingual School is located in Changzhou National High-tech Zone, close to Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway and Changzhou Metro Line 1.

常外双语成立于2018年，以常州外国语学校的办学基础为依托，并于2020年正式获得IBO国际文凭组织授权，成为常州地区第一所也是唯一一所IB世界成员学校。

Changwai Bilingual School was established in 2018, relying on the foundation of Changzhou Foreign Languages School, and it was officially authorized by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) in 2020, becoming the first and only IB World School in Changzhou.

CBS高中部同时开设了两种在世界范围内广泛认可且特色鲜明的国际高中课程——A Level 课程和IBDP课程。

CBS High School offers two internationally recognized and distinctive high school programs -- A Level and IBDP.

A Level课程介绍

CBS高中部开设英式国际高中课程，学生在3年的学习中完成IGCSE和A Level课程。

At CBS High School, we offer a British-style high school curriculum with students completing IGCSE and A Level courses during the 3 years of study.

当新生进入CBS高一，他们将学习IGCSE课程。这些课程涵盖了不同的学科领域，让学生可以挖掘自己的天赋和个人兴趣。

When new students enter the first year at CBS High School, they will study various IGCSE courses. These courses cover various subject areas, allowing them to explore their talent and personal interests.

经过一年的IGCSE（或称Pre - A Level）学习后，学生将继续学习A Level课程。每个学生将根据自己的喜好完成4-5个AS科目和3-5个A Level科目。

After one-year-study of IGCSE (or Pre - A Level), CBS students will move onwards to A Level Courses. Each student would be expected to complete the 4 or 5 AS subjects and 3 or 5 A Level subjects based on their preference.

IBDP课程介绍

IBDP是专为年龄段在16至19岁的学生设计的国际课程，学制两年。课程涵盖内容全面、结构严谨，并得到全球名校广泛认可。

The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year international programme designed for students aged between 16 and 19. The curriculum covers a comprehensive content with rigorous structure, and is widely recognized by the world's leading universities.

常外双语高中部是常州地区首家也是唯一提供IBDP课程的学校。

CBS High School is the first and only school in Changzhou to offer IBDP courses.

IBDP课程包含六个学科组和三门核心课程。六个学科组包括语文与文学、语言习得、个体与社会、实验科学、数学和艺术。

The IBDP curriculum consists of six subject groups and three core courses. The six subject groups include Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics and The Arts.

这三门核心课程旨在拓宽学生的视野，并学会如何在实践中运用自己所学的知识和技能。这也是IBDP课程设置独特性的集中体现。

The DP core aims to broaden students’ educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills. This makes DP course unique and different from other curricula.

知识理论课（TOK）要求学生反思知识的本质，以及我们如何知道自己声称知道的东西。目的是培养学生的判断与综合归纳能力，重点讨论知识方法和知识领域，鼓励学生对基础知识进行反思质疑，防止主观臆断和思想意识上的偏见，增强学生以理性基础进行分析和表达的能力。

The Theory of Knowledge (TOK) asks students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know. The purpose is to cultivate students' judgment and comprehensive induction ability, focus on discussing knowledge methods and knowledge fields, encourage students to reflect on and question basic knowledge, prevent subjective assumptions and ideological bias, and enhance students' ability to analyze and express on a rational basis.

拓展论文（EE）要求学生结合所学课程中的某一知识点进行独立的调研，要能写出4000字的文章。这项要求为学生提供了按自己兴趣写作论文的机会，并使学生熟悉独立研究的方法，锻炼写作技巧，为本科研究做准备。

The Extended essay (EE) requires students to conduct independent research based on a certain knowledge point in the course and be able to write an article of 4,000 words. This requirement provides students with the opportunity to write a paper tailored to their interests and familiarizes them with independent research methods to practice their writing skills in preparation for undergraduate research.

CAS使学生通过体验式学习来促进个人及人际关系的发展，它提供给学生自主决定以及与他人合作的机会，培养他们从工作中获得成就感和乐趣。同时，CAS对DP的学术压力起到了重要的平衡作用。

CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development by learning through experience. It provides opportunities for self-determination and collaboration with others, fostering a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment from their work. At the same time, CAS is an important counterbalance to the academic pressures of the DP.

Career Guidance

从学生入学开始，升学指导将贯穿高中三年，我们为学生提供一对一的专业指导，帮助学生制定个性化的升学方案，包括高中选课指导、暑期项目选择、课外活动和竞赛规划、职业生涯测评、大学入读准备以及其他与未来职业生涯相关的准备，旨在帮助每位学生认识自我，探索自我，在大学申请和未来从事的职业中做出最适合自己的选择。

From the beginning of the students' admission, the career guidance will run through the three years of high school. We provide one-to-one professional guidance for the students to help them develop personalized plans for future careers, including high school course selection guidance, summer program selection, extracurricular activity and competition planning, career assessment, college admission preparation and other preparations related to the future career. The purpose is to help each student to know himself, explore himself and make the best choices for his/her college applications and future careers.
