挑战AMC ！开启梦想之门！

　　AMC是一项面向世界中学生的数学竞赛，旨在提高中学生逻辑思维能力以及运用数学知识解决问题的能力，目前每年全球有超过6000所学校的30万名学生参赛，是全球最有影响力的青少年数学竞赛之一。

　　Today we are happy to share some achievements of IVY students in a worldwide Australian Math competition.

　　今天，我们很高兴与大家分享常青藤学生在澳大利亚数学竞赛中取得的一些成绩。

　　With the support and thorough guidance of Maggie, assisted by Dr. Chernov IVY HS Science division was able to organize students and inspire them to challenge themselves in the Australian Maths Competition. AMC is one of the biggest mathematics competitions in the world. Students from 32 different countries participate in the competition. The results of it are highly recognized around the world. The AMC is a 30-problem test that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives. Students in Grades 3 to 12 can participate in this competition. The design of each test is made primarily by Australia’s leading educators and academics, with a deep understanding of national curriculum standards.

　　在Maggie老师的支持和全面指导下，在Chernov IVY博士的协助下，常青藤高中部科学组组织学生并激励他们在澳大利亚数学竞赛中挑战自我。AMC是世界上最大的数学竞赛之一，来自32个不同国家的学生参加了此项比赛。其结果在全世界得到高度认可。AMC是一个30道题的测试，它展示了数学在学生日常生活中的重要性和相关性。3至12年级的学生都可以参加这次比赛。每个测试的设计主要由澳大利亚领先的教育工作者和学者完成，他们对国家课程标准有着深刻的理解。

　　This year, we had a total of 7 participants. They all represented different grades and levels. They took part in Intermediate and Senior levels respectively. The competition was held on 25th of September 2021. The competition was hold online due to epidemic prevention measures.

　　今年，我们共有7名参与者。他们都代表不同的年级和级别。他们分别参加了中级和高级两个级别的比赛。比赛于2021年9月25日举行。由于受疫情影响，今年比赛在网上举行。

　　The results of AMC have been released recently. There were more than 40000 students from China who participated in this competition.

　　AMC的结果最近已经公布。中国共有4万多名学生参加了这次比赛。

　　Among all 7 students, we have 2 students who got the Certificate of Credit (top 60%) and 5 students got Certificate of Proficiency. All our students were able to reach an above-average score, which is a pretty good achievement. Hopefully, there will be more students participating next year and will able to receive more extraordinary results. No matter whether participants reached a certain level or not, participation by itself is a great experience and is likely to make a positive contribution to students’ future college applications.

　　在我校7名参赛选手中，我们有2名学生获得了优等奖证书(前60%)，5名学生获得了数学技能奖证书。我们所有的学生都能取得高于平均水平的成绩，这是一个相当好的成绩。希望明年会有更多的学生参加，并能获得更出色的成绩。无论参与者是否达到一定的水平，参与本身就是一种很好的体验，可能会对学生未来的大学申请做出积极的贡献。
